If the phone number I am using to call a parent is no longer in service, who should I contact for assistance?

If you have called all the numbers in the student emergency contact and SESIS and also emailed the parent (if that is an option), contact Latasha Hayward, our Parent Coordinator.

I have a few parents who have filled out the technology application online and they weren't given further instructions after submitting it. They want to know what happens after the application and how/when they get the tech. For now I told them I'd look into it and get back to them when I had more info and to please be patient.

Hi Taylor, Unfortunately we do not have updates with technology. That request does not go to our school but to the Department of Education. They have to wait to be contacted by them. Thank you for reaching out to the families.

Thank you for your reply Ms. Romanini, I figured as much, but I wasn't sure if the city had mentioned anything to you or other admin in advance. I'll let them know they need to wait for the city to get back to them.

Morning. Do we need permission from parents to do video chat with students on Google Meets?

No. However, you must ask parents for permission to record the lesson and post it.

Good morning. One of my students in Y05 is not listed on the student attendance list-Aman Chowdhury. His brother is on the list but not him. If there is a way to add him that would be great.

He is on the attendance list after Alyssa.

If we call parents and they state they don't know how to get on the website or use it, who should we refer them to?

Please, send them to the website: www.p721q.com and click on student and family resources. Try to help them. If they still need help after that, please contact the Remote Learning Team. Thanks!

I ran a live Morning Routine session with my paras. (No students logged on) I posted it on google classroom
Only my students can access it. Is there a way to allow anyone who goes into my classroom to view it? Or do I have to send out invites for anyone else to view it?

For people view the live you need to invite them. If you post that in your classroom stream, everyone attached to the class can join and see what is posted there. You can record the morning routine and post as a video in your stream.

Is there a way to NOT get an email every time anybody says hi in google classroom?

In https://classroom.google.com/ go to the three lines on the upper left, scroll all the way down to settings. In settings unselect notifications- email.

Is there a way to ensure work assignments/materials that I post stay at the top of my Google Classroom Stream? My assignments/materials are getting pushed down and I have to keep moving them to the top. I am afraid a parent might not see the assignments/materials.

In Google Classroom the most recent posts always stay on top. You can tag a student there by attaching it to the student's name.

If you want to be the only one who appears on a large screen you can click on the pin to "pin" yourself.

I called parents today because my students are submitting undone assignments. They stated that they are not sure what to do in order for them to write on the assignment. How can I help my students and parents with completing their assignments? Can we have a video with the steps?

Hi Caballero, it depends on the version of the assignment. Please, reach out to Ms. Garcia and discuss with her what format of file works best for each activity.

Claudia-I shared my screen in a meeting with them and showed them how to do it. I recorded it and posted it to my stream so that the students/parents who were not in meeting could see it. You could also record yourself in a video and post it there. I had a meeting and no one came so I did that earlier too.

I am confused about calendars. Is there a calendar where we are suppose to be logging information onto?
